Varsity Teams Take 1st seed in FCAL Conference

Publish On 2010-01-21 , 2:08 PM

Both the Varsity teams worked hard and finaly can enjoy a little fruit of thier labor. Both teams are the #1 seeds going into the FCAL Conference Tournament. The Boys are 5-1 in the division and 8-1 in the Conference. The 8-1 mark is the best record in the conference. The Girls are 4-0 in the DIvision and 9-0 in the Conference. The Girls have only lost 1 game in the last 3 years and have made an impressive 33-1 record in that span. The Girls are the 2 time defending Conference Champions. With Both the varsity teams being the #1 seed, they will try to do what no school has not been able to do before. They will try to win both FCAL conference championships in the same year.

If you have any questions, just give me a call. 514-4619

Sports awards set for Monday and Tuesday

Publish On 2010-05-04 , 2:00 PM

Dear Parents,

Seacoast is excited to recognize its players and coaches at annual award ceremony. Monday, May 10th we will recognize all the middle school and J.V. teams. Tuesday, May 11th we will recognize all the varsity teams. Both nights start up at 6:30 and we will have a dessert and punch social afterwards.

The sports ceremonies are always a great time, reminiscing the seasons and enjoying little stories about all the athletes and coaches. We also recognize the players for their hard work and some will get trophies for excellent play.

I pray that all of you can attend. Tickets to this year’s events are $5 per person for one night. If you choose to come to both nights, the cost is just $7 per person. Send money to Coach Boyer to be a part of these special nights.

                                      In Christ,
                                                Coach Boyer

Basketball news

Publish On 2010-07-01 , 11:50 AM

The basketball programs have been working hard. Both the boys and girls varsity teams went to team camp and the Middle school girls team also went to team camp. The girl teams did very well and many of the girls walked away with tophies for individual accomplishments. The boys team also had a great showing and WON the tournament championship at the end of the week!

The boys are involved with the Espirt De Corps Summer Basketball league and are currently 1-2. They also are 1-1 out side of the tournament. The Girls have only played 1 game and won it big by 25 points. They have 2 more games scheduled in July and I hope to have at least 2-4 more added to that number.

Practices for all levels; middle school, and varsity, boys and girls, are on Thursdays. Middel school will practice from 2-4, and the varsities go from 3-5.

If you have any questions and wish to start working with the teams please give Coach Boyer a call.

514-4619.

Coach Boyers Beginging fall Sports leter

Publish On 2010-07-27 , 1:27 PM

Dear Parents and all athletes going into 6th – 12th grade,

We are fast approaching the beginning of the fall sports seasons. The school year starts August 23rd, but (8th – 12th grade) Football and (6th-12th grade) Volleyball will start up August 9th. I am adding letters from the coach’s to give schedules for tryouts and practices. All the tryouts and practices are mandatory. If you are not able to attend dates starting Aug. 9th for any reason, you should contact the coach to explain. It will be up to the coach’s if they will allow the athlete to miss any practices and still make the team. Games start 2 ½ - 3 weeks after start dates. Their decisions are final on cuts.

The school board has decided to change the participation fees this year for all sports. Participation fees will be as follows:

            Football ---- $150
            Volleyball -- $125
            Basketball -- $125
            Softball ----- $125
            Baseball ---- $125

All sports will have to do a pay or do fundraiser of $50 per athlete during their season. The fundraisers will be chosen by the Coach’s with help form the Athletic Director and Booster Club. Pay or do means that the athlete will have a choice of participating in the fundraiser or just paying the money.

The booster club has formed together a board of directors to help make big decisions for raising money, getting participation, bringing awareness of the sports program, and many other athletic needs of the school. I pray that all the parents will join the booster club. We are planning big things here at Seacoast.

All athletes will need to have a FHSAA Physical Form filled out and signed by a Doctor. You can get the Physical form from the internet at FHSAA.org or get them from the front office. There are other forms and release forms that will be needed to be filled out but we must have the physicals done. The other forms will be given out to the athletes on Aug.9th.

I can be reached anytime on my cell if you have any questions.
